What is the Verily Lifelong Health Study?

Lifelong Health Study is a Verily-sponsored research program. Our goal is to better understand the many factors that contribute to long-term health. These insights help fill the gaps in medical research, which can lead to breakthroughs that may benefit us all. Your participation can help researchers:

A few simple steps for eligible members

Without people like you, researchers can’t bring new treatments and therapies to those who need them. By joining the Lifelong Health Study, you’ll play an active role in better understanding ways to improve health—and you don’t even have to leave your home. Join in your Verily Me app with just a few simple steps.

Who’s eligible?

The Lifelong Health Study is open to users of the free Verily Me app. You can choose to participate if you are:

  1. Willing and able to provide informed consent

  2. Willing and able to provide privacy authorization(s), as they apply

  3. Able to read and understand English or other language(s) that become available as the study expands

  4. Willing and able to access internet-based tools for research (e.g., apps, software, email notifications)

  5. At least 18 years old at the time of consent

  6. A U.S. Resident with government issued identification

Verily started Project Baseline to explore health in more depth than ever before.

We launched Covid-19 research efforts with 250,000 participants. Our Gut Research Project produced 8,700 surveys to better understand Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. And that’s just the beginning.
